DESIGNERS Jenna Herbut (www.bootyflybags.com) and her brother Chandler (www.oleoriginals.com) are the brainchilds behind Make It!, the largest event of its kind in Western Canada! For those of you scratching your heads, Make It! is a craft show & party fusion that is "devoted to creating positive and lucrative opportunities for artists, crafters and designers."

In other words, it's a weekend of shopping for unique and ethically-made crafts, apparel, jewelry, accessories, art, gourmet goodies, and much more, from more than 100 exhibitors from around the country (for a complete list of vendors click here). And just in time for the holidays!

Make It!, which is the largest indie fashion and art event in Western Canada (based out of Vancouver), will also feature music from local DJs, food & drinks, and a silent auction in which 100% of proceeds will go to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

So please take some time out of this upcoming weekend (Dec. 11-13) and head down to the Alberta Aviation Museum and support local and emerging artisans and entrepreneurs.

Tickets are just $5 (save $2 by going to their website), though kids 12 and under are free to enter. For more information on the event, you can check out their official site or follow them on Twitter or Facebook. The museum is located at 11410 Kingsway Ave., near NAIT and the City Centre Airport. You can also email Jenna (jenna@makeitproductions.com) or call 778-233-7468.
