I Heart Edmonton

By Emil Tiedemann There happens to be a  Municipal Election  coming up in Edmonton on October 18, 2021, and I think it's important for locals to get to know the City Council candidates running for their particular ward (as well as their Mayoral candidates, of course).  I chose to get more involved in the election this year and so wanted to give each candidate a chance to tell us a little about themselves, their vision, and why you should vote for them. I have sent a 10-question questionnaire to each of  the 2021 Edmonton Municipal Election candidates  and will post their responses  (100% as written)  here as they come in. It seems like one of the last jobs anyone would want in such an (at times) unforgiving environment, unless you're one of a handful of brave locals who embrace winter in Edmonton and sign up for just that.  Snow Warrior Mariah  is one of those locals and  Snow Warrior  is an 8-minute documentary film that tells the story of a day-in-the-life of a bike courier in the dead of winter of a northern Canadian city. My hometown, Edmonton.  Presented by the  National Film Board of Canada  and Edmonton-based  Open Sky Pictures , Snow Warrior was directed by  Kurt Spenrath  and  Frederick Kroetsch  and serves as "a love letter to the splendour of winter," according to the filmmakers.  Snow Warrior  launched on the NFB's streaming platform on March 18 and they've made it available to 'I Heart Edmonton' to stream as w
