Field Law Is Giving Away Cash!

Regional law firm Field Law is offering $75,000 to put towards "pay-it-forward" ideas across Edmonton, Calgary and Yellowknife!

FIELD Law, a regional law firm with offices in Calgary, Edmonton and Yellowknife, is excited to announce the launch of the 2016 Field Law Community Fund Program (‘Program’). The Program supports local pay-it-forward ideas and causes within the communities Field Law serves. In 2016, the Program will donate $75,000 across all three regions.

The Program allows for local individuals, initiatives and registered and non-registered causes to apply for funding over the course of five weeks. In the Southern Alberta Community Market, which includes all of Alberta south of and including the City of Red Deer, Program winners can receive anywhere from $1,000 to the maximum award of $30,000. Finalists are then chosen following a combination of community (public) online voting and deliberation by a Community Market Judging Panel.

Over the past three years, the Program has awarded support to 42 organizations and charitable initiatives throughout Alberta and the Northwest Territories. Southern Alberta Community Market winners for the 2015 Program included CANNONBALL!, AARCS – Disaster Preparedness, Between Friends, Dare to Dream, Girl Power Summer Camp, and Healthier Families – Healthier Lives.

“At Field Law, building strong relationships within the communities we serve is a top priority,” says Jim Casey, Firm Managing Partner, Field Law. “We are excited to continue to contribute to these important causes and are honoured to be able to make a difference in the communities where we live, work and interact on a daily basis.”

Field Law is deeply invested in the communities it serves. Its preferred causes include (but are not exclusive to) those that support education, healthcare, at-risk youth, homelessness, women’s organizations, community and sports, or arts and culture.

Online applications must be completed by 5PM on May 13, 2016!

“We are humbled and excited to be able to continue with the Field Law Community Fund Program during these challenging economic times,” says Doreen Saunderson, Executive Committee Member and Partner, Field Law. “At Field Law, we believe in giving back and we are proud to be able to play a small part in effecting positive change in our communities.”
